Rockies pitcher Chad Bettis says cancer has spread

Five days after making his first appearance for the Rockies since he was diagnosed with testicular cancer last fall, Chad Bettis said the disease has “unexpectedly spread.”Bettis said in a statement posted on his Twitter account Devon Travis Jersey that his oncologist ordered a biopsy after seeing inflammation in the pitcher’s lymph nodes during a checkup last week. Follow-up tests showed the cancer has spread and Bettis said he will begin chemotherapy “in the very near future.”Here is an update on my current health situation.
